Mark played by JORDAN FISHER. A struggling Jewish-American documentary filmmaker, he is currently Roger’s roommate. He was recently dumped by Maureen.
Roger played by BRENNIN HUNT. Roger is a once successful but now struggling musician. HIV-positive and an ex-junkie, he hopes to write one last meaningful song before he dies. Mark and Roger are best friends and roommates.
Mimi played by TINASHE. A Hispanic-American S&M club dancer and drug addict. She lives downstairs from Mark and Roger. As Roger’s love interest, Mimi, like him, is HIV-positive.
Collins played by BRANDON VICTOR DIXON. An anarchist professor with AIDS. He was formerly a roommate of Roger and Mark until he moved out. Mark and Rogers are his friends.
Angel played by VALENTINA. A young drag queen with AIDS, Angel is a street percussionist with a generous disposition.
Maureen played by VANESSA HUDGENS. Maureen is a performance artist who is Mark’s ex-girlfriend and Joanne’s current girlfriend.
Joanne played by KIERSEY CLEMONS. An Ivy League-educated public interest lawyer and a lesbian. Joanne is the woman for whom Maureen left Mark.
Benny played MARIO. Benny is the landlord of Mark, Roger, and Mimi’s apartment building and Mark and Roger’s ex-roommate. He at one time had a relationship with Mimi and is now married to Allison Grey Westport (whom we never see).
